This 24-hour campaign is  live now! A global day of giving celebrated by nonprofits, corporations, and donors alike!

Our fundraising partner GlobalGiving is offering a $1,2 Million Incentive Fund that will be shared by participants proportionally based on final fundraising totals. All of our active and eligible projects are eligible to unlock the bonus funds—and the more we raise on GivingTuesday, the more prize money we will earn!

Our GivingTuesday Goal:

$36,000

Our Objective:

Fund Higher Education

When we first embarked on the journey of bringing children from the hilltribes to our children's homes to provide them with an education, little did we know the incredible dedication and ambition these children would bring to the table. At Warm Heart, we are dedicated to nurturing and supporting every child's dreams, helping them reach for the stars through the power of education.

We spend about $3.000 per month on University, vocational colleges, and high school.  This year we have 13 in university: 5 boys, 8 girls.  There are no college seniors in the group and we add 3 starting university and 3 starting vocational college next year.  We have six more headed for university the year after.

We work out a plan with each student - scholarships, government loans, and any family funds, but we still run short every month. Donations to our Higher Education fund will ensure we can cover these costs (and let Michael and Evelind sleep at night!)

In Pursuit of their Dreams

Tangmo

Tangmo's story is one of resilience amidst domestic abuse. She found refuge at Warm Heart when her father's drinking and violence escalated.

Tangmo and her mother have since built a new life, and Tangmo is now considering which science program to pursue at a top university in Chiang Mai.

She is following in her sister Tanqua’s footsteps, who is a part of our Warm Heart family. Tanqua has just finished nursing school and is working at a hospital in Bangkok.

Sai

Sai an exceptional student with dreams as vast as the sky. Her journey to higher education has been marked by resilience and determination.

Sai comes from a place where, for girls like her, education is not always seen as a priority. It took a village council meeting to convince her father to allow her older sister, Naan, to continue past 6th grade. (Naan is now thriving in her 3rd year of nursing school).

She excels academically, often ranking in the top 5 in her class. Her dream? To attend the top university in Chiang Mai, pursuing a program in the sciences.

Sai is on the cusp of graduating high school with flying colors in math and science, but she needs your help to pay for university and make her dreams a reality.

Ying

Ying hails from Mae Soon, where her parents are subsistence farmers.

She walked 30 minutes each way down slippery, muddy roads to a one-room schoolhouse in a neighboring village until she finished 6th grade.

Now, at Warm Heart, she's completing the math and sciences track at Phrao High School and dreams of a career in communications and digital marketing at a  top Chiang Mai University.

Our Ultimate Goal:

Establish a Revolving Higher Education Fund

We ask that our graduates repay what they borrow from Warm Heart, once they're working, to help pay for the next generation.

Our ultimate goal is to build a revolving fund to ensure our students studying hard in high school know they can attend college.
