Marketing, PR, and Communication

We depend on our creative marketing volunteer team to help us drive awareness, engagement and excitement around Warm Heart’s mission and fundraising initiatives. We have several areas in our marketing department available.

Position: Social Media Manager

Making an Impact
With such a diverse portfolio of projects it is important to effectively present our work to our wide and varying community. We currently rely on donations and volunteers from around the world to support our endeavors.

We work with other organizations and companies to put together major projects that create a lasting impact for the people of Phrao. And all of our activities are community-sponsored meaning our impact must be tracked and publicized in a reliable and understandable way.

In addition to effective communication for the Warm Heart Foundation, we also work with local artisans to improve the sales and marketing of their products. We provide design, business and marketing assistance to women’s cooperatives in Phrao in order to sell their products on both the Thai and international markets.

Position Overview
Warm Heart depends on a marketing volunteer who is a creative, forward-thinking manager who can effectively leverage our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, You Tube) and CRM platforms (email marketing, volunteer exit surveys) to communicate the organization’s needs.

Primary Responsibilities
● Formulate and implement Warm Heart’s overall communications strategy.
● Collaborate with translators, IT personnel, and designers to put together new communications materials, i.e. pamphlets, presentations, one-pagers, infographics, etc.
● Organize and implement a fundraising strategy.
● Manage Warm Heart’s social media presence (Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram).
● Assist with other projects, as assigned (e.g. volunteers are required to teach English for 2 hours of each week).

Experience/Skills
● Strong PR and Marketing background- experience implementing high-level communications strategies to successfully execute its plan.
● Interest in promoting sustainable development.
● Management experience.
● Ability to think creatively and function in a diverse workplace.
● Proficient with English, both written and oral communications

Position:  Multi Media Photographer

Capture the Moment
Warm Heart is a small, independent organization. We are not part of a global NGO nor do we have offices in the money centers of the world. Our marketing volunteer position help us reach our audience.

We rely entirely on the internet – email, social media and our website – to tell people about the problems our community confront and how we are helping.

It is therefore essential that we have high quality images of all of our events and projects. A picture – but not just any picture – is worth a thousand words, and getting the picture requires a talented photographer.

Position Overview
Warm Heart seeks an experienced photographer to record daily life at Warm Heart and all Warm Heart events, activities and programs in order to provide a steady stream of high quality images for daily posts to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tumblr and our website.

Primary Responsibilities
• Photograph all events, activities and programs on an ongoing basis.
• Develop portfolios of photographs of various special aspects of life at Warm Heart.
• Develop portfolios of photographs documenting Warm Hearts projects.
• Edit and catalog all photographs in the Warm Heart online Team Center archive.
• If video production is underway, assist if/when necessary.
• Assist with other projects, as assigned (e.g. volunteers are required to teach English for 2 hours of each week)

Experience/Skills
• Desire to learn
• Willingness to work hard under all conditions (hot season or monsoon)
• Ability to think creatively and work with a diverse workforce, including Thai work staff, schoolchildren, and foreign volunteers
• Extensive previous experience required, professional training and experience preferred
• Video experience preferred.
• Conversationally fluent in English

Position: Multi Media Videographer

Tell Our Story
Warm Heart is a small, independent organization. We are not part of a global NGO nor do we have offices in the money centers of the world.

We rely entirely on the internet – email, social media and our website – to tell people about the problems our community confront and how we are helping. It is therefore essential that we have high quality videos of all of our events and projects. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a great 30 second video is worth a thousand donations! It takes a really talented videographer to make one, however!

Position Overview
Warm Heart seeks an experienced videographer to help us make informative and emotionally compelling videos that are also aesthetically gorgeous in order to provide us with high impact content for our social media campaigns, website, fundraising efforts and informational materials.

Primary Responsibilities
• Work with Warm Heart senior staff to define key video projects and then execute those projects autonomously.
• Story board, shoot and edit the videos coordinating with senior staff around transportation, translation and other resources.
• Where deemed important, be available to video key Warm Heart events, activities and projects.
• Where deemed important, assist with editing existing footage to complete required videos.
• Edit and catalog all clips, uploading them to the Warm Heart online Team Center archive.
• Assist with other projects, as assigned (e.g. volunteers are required to teach English for 2 hours of each week)

Experience/Skills
• Desire to learn
• Willingness to work hard under all conditions (hot season or monsoon)
