🌍 Africa Biochar & Climate-Smart Agriculture Program

Warm Heart Worldwide works with local partners across Africa to support climate-smart agriculture, soil restoration, and farmer resilience through practical biochar training and community-led solutions.

This page serves as an overview of our country-level programs. Each country page below provides detailed information on implementation partners, farmer reach, training models, budgets, and measurable outcomes.

Our approach is:

  • Locally led
  • Low-cost and scalable
  • Proven across multiple countries
  • Aligned with climate, food security, and livelihood funding priorities

     🔑 Why Biochar?

  • Restores degraded soils
  • Improves crop yields and food security
  • Reduces open burning and air pollution
  • Sequesters carbon for long-term climate benefit
  • Uses local agricultural waste as feedstock
  • Transfers skills farmers can apply independently

Biochar is not a single intervention—it is a platform technology that strengthens agriculture, livelihoods, and environmental resilience simultaneously.
